Warm On A Cold Day With You

The rain pours down
And the cold wind blows
But I am snuggled up warm next to you

A kiss not a frown
And the fire place glows
While I am snuggled up warm next to you

In blankets wrapped tight
And everything seems right
Because I am snuggled up warm next to you

Outside is cold
But with you I am gold
And I am snuggled up warm next to you

Love Poem #4

When the moon sets
And the stars come out
I will still be with you

And the day begins
With morning grins
My love will still be true

You are the one
The one for me
I don’t know how
This wonder can be

You take my soul
Then set it free
You are the one
The one for me

So when at night
When we’re together
Over dinner and some smiles

Don’t ever worry
When we’re apart
Your with me not matter the miles

Tell Me

Tell me tell me
How you feel
In poetic words

Tell me tell me
What you did
In a rhyme that work in thirds

You tell me
And I’ll tell you
Of what we think and do

And keep it going
Two by two
It’s what we like to do

Tell me tell me
Is this fun
I think it is too

Love Poem #1

Tell me tell me tell me true
Do you love me
Is it true?

I hope it is
Cause I’ll tell you
I also love you too

Quiet Times

Quiet times with you and I
Filled with love and joy
The quiet times we like to share
And never act too coy

To sit with you
In my arms
Snuggling close
With all your charms

What more is there
You’re such a dish
To keep you close
That’s my wish

And when the day
Takes us away
To do the things we must

Then I’ll simply wait
For our date
So we can meet again at lunch

Online Lovers

Though I’ve never seen your face
Though I’ve never touched your hand
You know I am still in love with you

Though I’ve never had you in lace
Though I’ve never helped you stand
You know that I am still in love with you

Though we may never meet
Though it would be quite a treat
You know that I am still in love with you

So online for now
And together we’ll figure out how
That someday we can be together

Grey Love

Grey hair
Grey beard
Though it may
Seem quite weird

He loves her
And she love him
Making We
Out of Them

Though we’re old
And turned quite grey
You’re my love
What can I say

But that I love you more and more
Every single day

Love Through Better And Worse

They walked the streets
Hand in hand
Tattered clothes they wore

And they talked
Of better times
A time long before

When they lived in a house
With children and joy
Who loved them so
Their girl and their boy

Those times are now past
But not their love
It seems them through good times and bad

And while some things don’t last
The still have their love
And are happy not sad

A Midnight Walk in the Park

Moonlight encounters
With you by the pond
Star lit walks
With the one whom I’m fond

Hand in hand
We walk through the park
Love lights the way
Through our time in the dark

Feeling you here
Close by my side
This time together
The things I can’t hide

For you know me all
The bad and the good
You know me all
Just as you should

No secret to hide
From you, my dear
You love who I am
And always are near

And my heart is your
And yours in mine
And this time in the park
Our hearts entwine

Till finally we
Are of one soul
Two hearts as one
On our midnight stroll

Death and Rebirth

The storm raged outside
Fire in the clouds, darkness all around
Uh! I am dead!

I must confide
My life seemed so sound
The smell of crepes, not dread

The sweet breakfast of my past
The stress of my work now seems faint
The spiral of the worlds stand quiet now

The winds of my new future will not last
And gone will be the taint
And a new life will begin, but I know not where or how

I am reborn.

Freedom

I sat at the prison
Demanding you go free
But the warden said it could not be

So I camped many a day
Asking for you to be free
But the warden refused to see me

The a new day came
A new warden was then
And I came to ask again

And he told me he had risen
And that your debts had paid
During the three days he had laid

And you never need pay
For the crimes of your past
That your freedom was true and would last

With freedom to claim
If only one thing
Forgiveness of self to bring

Maybe

Maybe we should go out
Maybe it would be fun
Maybe together we’ll run
And light up the city at night
Maybe…. Maybe….

Maybe we’ll fall in love
Maybe we already are
Maybe we will go far
And get married all in white
Maybe…. Maybe….

Maybe we’ll live to be old
Maybe we’ll have grandkids to see
Maybe forever we’ll be
Together my love, you’ll see
Maybe…. Maybe….

Who know?

Birthday Surprise

Everything’s quiet
As friends arrive
Getting ready for a birthday surprise

Birthday cake’s ready
A plan to contrive
The whole situation is set to disguise

A new wholesome diet
For a quiet night in
Nothing to be remembered here

But the plan is already
Set to begin
For friends who are near and dear

And the moment has come
And the party begun
For friends from all around

And presents are there
Like sour pickles and a chair
And fun the friendships that are found

Licking teeth and gums

Bodies filled with love’s emotion

And in the end
Side by side
On sweat stained sheet
They cannot hide

Simplicity

Nothing is simple
As it might seem
Thing often go to the extreme

Simplicity’s sake
Has much at stake
And is often the stated dream

But when seen very close
New things engross
And complexities start to emerge

When countered right
We find that we might
Cause the complexities to merge

And like a dimple
A new and simpler theme
Will start to reign supreme

Lust

The lusts that drives us
And make us want more
A glittering mirage
That’s really a chore

It fills us full
Of want and need
And rarely temperance
Is there to heed

And we fill our lives
With cluttered things
Trashy mementos
And garbage rings

Trying to fill
That hole inside
With lust and greed
And things to hide

What we need
And who we are
These garbage lusts
Only scar

And make us less
That what we should be
Binds us up
So we’re never free

To be who we really are

Helping to refine
Thoughts divine

I’ll take another glass
And think some more
Don’t mine me
I’m lying on the floor

Finding right solutions
Till I start to feel

My whole world spinning
Round and round
Looking for the pieces
Until I have found

Another glass of wine….
Please?

Who look so nice
Too bad they seem
To have hearts of ice

Then the smile and they kiss you

On clothes and toys
Never really thinking
About the boys

Who’s hearts they have stolen as well

My Dream

I dreamt of you
The other night
A dream of pure delight

A sky of blue
For here I knew
That everything was right

You walked with me
Hand in hand
Upon a beach of pure white sand

An though your free
You chose to be
With me in that beautiful land

When our lips did touch
Sparks flew
Between me and you

Though it wasn’t much
A kiss as such
My love for you still grew

And it started to seep
This something new
As my thoughts began to stew

And I felt it deep
This secret we keep
The love of me and you

In this secret place

Being one
Just you and me
In this place
That we can see

Sergeant Amarillo and His Yellow Armadillo

Sergeant Amarillo
Had a yellow armadillo
Whom he would often take on walks

To the beach
To the park
By the building
With the mark
So many places they did go

And the discussions they had
Were never bad
For his pet armadillo also talks

Romeo and Juliette

A secret place we’ll meet tonight
Far and out of town
They don’t agree with our delight
It will only make them frown

We cannot speak in public
We can barely speak at all
And never to each other
We cannot even call

They disapprove of many things
But most of all of us
And if they say us together
They would only swear and cuss

But I long to be
Within your arms
Where I am safe
And nothing harms

And love is true
And love is real
And we can be true
To how we feel

Locked together
In loves embrace
Feeling you
As our hearts race

Two as one
This me and you
Making love
As we do

And as we sleep
So far away
I sit and wonder
How to get away

And be with you forever

Change in Preferences

I went to the beach last night after work
I walked alone in the dark next to the logs
The crashing wave nearby

I used to go nearly every day
To my lovely beach
The crashing waves
The fresh salt air
Hand in hand
Walking on logs and sand
With the one I love

But now I only go alone

I went to a dance club not so long ago
To dance and feel the beat
But she was not there to dance with me

We used to love to dance
Close to each other
Toe to toe
Face to face
Swaying to the beat
In beautiful harmony
As one with energy and twirls

But now I dance alone

She doesn’t enjoy going out
To the sound of the crashing waves
The feel of sand or logs under her feet
She doesn’t enjoy going out
To the sound of music ringing in our ears
Close to one another
Moving to the beat

She prefers to stay home
Eyes glued to the monitor of the computer or TV
Seeking to remove her-self from the world around

Seeking to be alone

My Wish

Be careful what you wish for
For it might just come true
I wish that my wife
Will get better and renew

The person she was
That she might be again
The wonderful fun person
I knew way back when

Who would have fun and play
And dance in the night
A bubble of joy
Who made everything right

It’s her whom I love
And her whom I need
It her whom my life
And desires all fee

Without her I’m broke
Along this old road
A road know as life
And me and old toad

The Maiden and the Prince

He stood at the mouth of the great cavern, smoke and steam oozing out from the top and into the clean air.

Scars streaked the body and face of the aged troll yet he still held himself with honor and dignity seldom found in his lesser kin.

Is intelligent keen eyes peered into the cavern spotting several traps and alarms, warning the dragon within of his presence or to kill him outright.

A local maiden had been recently taken by the dragon for whatever foul purposes the beast could think up. As prince, it was his duty to rescue her.

He entered the cave, simply avoiding some traps and disarming others.

Soon he was in the dragon’s lair.

Chained against the far wall was the maiden, stained with soot, cooking over a fire. In the center of the room lay the dragon, asleep on a pile of gold and treasure.

The troll prince quietly took out his bow and notched a special arrow intended to battle the dragon.

He coughed

The dragon quickly awoke from his sleep and stared the troll prince in the eyes. Another warrior to roast. This would be too easy.

The dragon opened his great toothy mouth, fire burning deep inside

The troll prince fired his arrow into the dragon’s gaping maw.

The dragon breathed out his fire

But not with the results he intended

As the fire hit the arrow, it exploded with great force knocking the dragon to the floor

The troll prince went down and quickly severed the dragon’s head, killing his unconscious foe.

The maid was shaken by her odd savior.

Here was a troll, a fierce and ugly monster killing the dragon. What could he want with her.

The troll cleaned his sword and bowed. “I am sorry for you to be troubled like this miss. Let’s get you home to safety.”

He then went over and unlocked the shackles that held the still shocked maiden.

Her bright blue eyes shined beneath her soot stained hair and face.

“When you get home you will need some new clothes and such.” The Troll prince said, and he grabbed a bag and filled it full of gold and gems.

He smiled as he looked at the treasure and picked out a finely wrought tiara encrusted with diamonds and sapphires and placed it on her head.

“A beautiful girl like you should have the crown of a princess.” He laughed.

He took the princess by the hand and safely led her out of the dragon’s cave.

Outside, he set her on his massive Clydesdale and quietly walked her through the forest to a quiet stream that fed into a stone pond.

“You should clean yourself my, my lady.” He said, lifting her down. “If you need anything, I will be over here.” He said pointing to a place not too far away that ensured her privacy.

While she bathed, the troll wrote and recited poetry, mostly for himself, but loud enough that the maid could hear. She was taken by this odd creature, this ugly troll that was somehow refined and intelligent.

She heard him leave for a while and then come back.

After washing herself and her clothes she went back to the troll who had started cooking a dinner of roast deer, veggies and some apples he had found. The food was amazing, seasoned perfectly.

They sat and talked long into the night, the fire warming them, and then fell fast asleep.

The next day they walked and rode through the forest towards the girl’s home. They talked and joked along the way, and the troll created poems and stories for her off the top of his head. Soon a deep friendship and love developed between them.

They finally arrived at the girl’s home late in the evening. Her parents were so happy to see here that they barely even noticed that their daughter’s savior was in fact a troll.

Over dinner and after the girl, her family and the troll talked late into the night telling them of the maid’s long weeks serving the dragon of her savior the troll, the family and the town in general.

The family offered the troll a room in the house, but he declined for he didn’t want to take the bed of anyone who lived there, so he went to the stable and set himself up for the night.

In the middle of the night, the maid snuck out of the house, curled up next to the troll and fell fast asleep in his sleeping arms, knowing that here she would be safe forever.

Morning came and the girl snuck back into her bed and no one was the wiser.

Breakfast was served and the troll took the girl into town to buy her new clothes with the gold they had gained.

Again they talked and joked and grew closer than before.

In town, people were amazed to find the beautiful maiden walking with the troll.

At the dress shop the troll helped her pick out several new outfits as they talked more.

The maiden looked amazing with her long blonde hair and stunning blue eyes.

The troll smiled and put the newly cleaned tiara on her head and she looked just like a princess in a story book.

She smiled back at him, and kissed him on the cheek.

They took some time to pick up additional supplies for the family, talking the entire time and then as it started to get late they left for her home.

They walked back to her home, the horse carrying the new bundles of clothes, food and wine.

Their talk had changed from that of close friends to that of two people deeply in love.

When they got back to her home, the troll prince had made a decision.

Over dinner the troll prince asked her father if he could have his daughter’s hand in marriage.

Unsure what to say, the father took his daughter aside and asked her what she wanted.

In days past she had had several suitors, none of whom she had really wanted. Now this ugly old troll asked. He was unsure what to say.

But the girl answered her father telling him that she was deeply in love with the troll prince and would be happy to live her life with him.

He looked into her eyes and saw the love and knew that they were meant for one another. Beauty and the beast as the saying went.

The father smiled and told the prince that it would be OK with him if his daughter so desired.

The troll bent down on his knee and offered her a ring, asking her hand in marriage.

She ran up and hugged him with a yes and kissed his face as she said yes.

That night and the ones after were magical ones.

Soon they were married and the prince took her away to live in his palace.

The parents moved to the town where the troll prince ruled and they all lived happily ever after.
