One of the problems with being artistic....

One of the problems with being artistic is that you occasionally will wake up in the middle of the night with something you have to write down or create, or else you will lose it…. And such a loss is something that is hard to live with….

They said it would drive me crazy
I told them I already am
So they stuck me in a toaster
And Covered me up in jam

Patterns of light
Patterns of sound
Patterns of patterns
Appear all around

With colors and rhyme
This music in time

Surrounds me
Caresses me

Feelings sublime

Words Washed Up

Words wash up
Like waves on the shore
Words I love
Words I adore

Rhythms so
Soothing
Pleasant
Moving

Words that wash
Upon the soul
