Mental mix-up malady
Sometimes dim and sometimes shady
Randomizing thoughts, ideas and more
Who knows what things might be in store
For when you mix things up
So many things come out
And putting them back in place
Is a struggle without a doubt
Like a puzzle without a picture
Or a kitchen without a fixture
Muddling your way through the day
And trying desperately to know what to say
But in the end your thoughts
Coalesce and then collide
You hope this mix-up malady
Eventually will subside

Another day of joy
As the rain pours down
The sun will shine another day
Upon this muddy town

Muddy streets to walk on
And muddy pools of brown
Spotting up the landscape
Within this muddy town

Muddy splatters on the walls
Of buildings large and small
Windows streaked with muddy smears
Is nothing to enthrall

And the rain falls down
In plodding drops
On streets and homes
Parks and shops

Till all the world
Is muddy brown
A poor sad fate
For this little town
