The Bridge

A bridge over chasms
High and lofty seem
Though chasms deep
And sides are steep
The solution is supreme

So it is with us
These chasms we’ve seemed to built
But like them all
We build or fall
Or simply stand and wilt

So build with me
This mighty span
Over our unseemly gaps
And we will see
This wondrous plan
Will never again collapse
