The central repository
Where knowledge is stored
Where everyone goes
When they are bored

Learning new things
Obscure or of no use
Wasting their time
While being obtuse

While purpose is there
It’s largely ignored
Finding odd things
Is its own reward

And so they stay
Learning odd things
Of lizards that fly
And a frog that sings

When the day is done
The bored go home
Singing a song
Of the wondering gnome
