Jennifer’s Puppy

Little Jenny
Went to the barn
To fetch herself a pail

When who should she meet
On four little feet
But a puppy with a waggly tail

He bounced around
With his cute puppy barks
Running all around

Jennifer laughed
At the joy she had found
Her new best friend with love unbound

They played awhile
In the barn
Tug a war and fetch

He made her smile
With his slobbery kisses
And then he started to stretch

And curled up in her lap
To take a nap
Cozy warm next to her

She gave him a kiss
And then a hug
And petted his nice warm fur

She took him home
Sleeping sound
To show her mom
The new friend she found

And everyone was happy
At the new found friend
And they lived happy together
Until the end
