Candyland
Chocolate times
With chocolate chime
Ringing through the misty air
Candied lanes
Are all that remains
Of Candyland’s past affair
Of the troll gobbler king
Who used to sing
Of his yummy candied treats
Then stomping around
On an old dish mound
When all that was offered was meats
Then in a great rage
He started that age
When candies could no longer be found
Except hidden away
And not just halfway
Some even buried in the ground
And now all that’s left
Is a Candyland bereft
Of all the joys of it treasured past
The old candy lanes
Are all that remains
For candy never will last
With chocolate chime
Ringing through the misty air
Candied lanes
Are all that remains
Of Candyland’s past affair
Of the troll gobbler king
Who used to sing
Of his yummy candied treats
Then stomping around
On an old dish mound
When all that was offered was meats
Then in a great rage
He started that age
When candies could no longer be found
Except hidden away
And not just halfway
Some even buried in the ground
And now all that’s left
Is a Candyland bereft
Of all the joys of it treasured past
The old candy lanes
Are all that remains
For candy never will last
