Angel on Earth

Bright as an angel
Filled with joy
Love and kindness
Did she employ

To help those in need
And ease their pain
Her love so great
She could not contain

And as her days passed
With the good she had done
God smiled down
And thought it was fun

To have one like her
Who blessed all she knew
And with each blessing given
Another one grew

Till all the land
Was filled over flowing
With blessing upon blessing
Only love was left showing

And when her day came
And He took her away
You can hear people speak
As they reverently say

She was truly a child of God
