Muddy Town
Another day of joy
As the rain pours down
The sun will shine another day
Upon this muddy town
Muddy streets to walk on
And muddy pools of brown
Spotting up the landscape
Within this muddy town
Muddy splatters on the walls
Of buildings large and small
Windows streaked with muddy smears
Is nothing to enthrall
And as the rain is falling down
In plodding drips and drops
On streets and homes and parking lots
On muddy parks and shops
Till all the world
Is muddy brown
The poor sad fate
Of muddy town
As the rain pours down
The sun will shine another day
Upon this muddy town
Muddy streets to walk on
And muddy pools of brown
Spotting up the landscape
Within this muddy town
Muddy splatters on the walls
Of buildings large and small
Windows streaked with muddy smears
Is nothing to enthrall
And as the rain is falling down
In plodding drips and drops
On streets and homes and parking lots
On muddy parks and shops
Till all the world
Is muddy brown
The poor sad fate
Of muddy town

This is an update / rewrite of Mudville. I think it flows a bit better.
