Too Much Noise
A cacophony of sounds
Everywhere noise surrounds
No place for quiet solitude
No time or place for a reflective mood
A multitude of music’s at odds with one another
Each song blaring trying to drown out the other
And those people talking or yelling I should say
They can barely hear each other but there’s no other way
And the news on the radio is turned up so loud
So that someone might be able to make out what it says in this crowd
And the people all mingle, each annoyed at the others noise
Raising the volume and tension and reducing any poise
Not that there was any to start with in this group…
