Where Comes Hope
Where comes hope
When sorrows drown
In darkness deep and long
And gathers they
So far away
As if you don’t belong
As if the world
Goes away
From those who cry in pain
And lonely they
Who sit and pray
To offer up in vain
So many the few
That no one knew
Before they passed away
Weak, alone
A life to atone
For wrongs that brought dismay
Yet droplets of hope
Will spring from air
Landing trees so bare
Then leaves start to sprout
And flowers so fair
A forest beyond compare
When sorrows drown
In darkness deep and long
And gathers they
So far away
As if you don’t belong
As if the world
Goes away
From those who cry in pain
And lonely they
Who sit and pray
To offer up in vain
So many the few
That no one knew
Before they passed away
Weak, alone
A life to atone
For wrongs that brought dismay
Yet droplets of hope
Will spring from air
Landing trees so bare
Then leaves start to sprout
And flowers so fair
A forest beyond compare
