The Wood Spirit
Deep in the woods
Where few people see
Lives the fairest of creatures
There ever could be
With green smiling eyes
And a beautiful grin
A warm caring heart
Deep within
She lives in the trees
And they live in her
They seem much the same
Their lives seem to blur
And deep in the groves
Where the moon beams fall
She comes out to dance
In a room with no wall
And she moves and sways
With beauty and grace
Love in her eyes
And a smile on her lips
Her hair green and glowing
Her arms lithe and flowing
Her movements always showing
Life good and growing
Then when it’s over
She stops by a pool
Jumps in the water
Always nice and cool
Then to her trees
She merges in and out
Dancing once again
She dances all about
And maybe you’ll catch glimpses
Of this pretty little thing
Dancing in the leaves
Or maybe…. You’ll get really lucky….
And hear the wood spirit sing
Where few people see
Lives the fairest of creatures
There ever could be
With green smiling eyes
And a beautiful grin
A warm caring heart
Deep within
She lives in the trees
And they live in her
They seem much the same
Their lives seem to blur
And deep in the groves
Where the moon beams fall
She comes out to dance
In a room with no wall
And she moves and sways
With beauty and grace
Love in her eyes
And a smile on her lips
Her hair green and glowing
Her arms lithe and flowing
Her movements always showing
Life good and growing
Then when it’s over

She merges in and out
Dancing once again

And maybe you’ll catch glimpses

Or maybe…. You’ll get really lucky….
